New joint ESF/ESIG Best Practice Guidelines “Respiratory Protection”!

The European Solvents Industry Group (ESIG) and the European Safety Federation (ESF) have released a new edition of their Best Practice Guideline (BPG):

“Respiratory Protection Selection and Use – Guide for Solvents”

This practical guide supports manufacturers, safety professionals, and users in industry and trade in selecting and applying the right respiratory protective equipment when working with solvents – clearly structured, regulation-aligned, and ready for real-world use.

💡 Note: Respiratory protective devices (RPDs) are considered a supplementary safety measure and should only be used following a thorough risk assessment. This BPG offers clear, practical guidance aligned with current regulations.

The guideline covers topics such as:
