ESIG’s
25thAnniversary
In October ESIG held a small celebration moment for its 25thAnniversary. Former chairs of ESIG and ESVOC were invited to share their memories of challenges but also of pleasant moments during their term. Music fitting to the eras was played and the quiz on ESIG was won by our current chair Rob Oades. A proof of his added value. The day after he was reelected to chair ESIG for the next two years. Congrats Rob!
As a reminder, ESIG was created in 1996 when major European producers of oxygenated and hydrocarbon solvents decided to join forces to actively promote the sustainable, safe and responsible use of solvents by building alliances, sharing information and engaging with industry partners, downstream users, as well as EU policymakers and regulators.
The topics common to the Hydrocarbon Solvents Producers Association (HSPA) and Oxygenated Solvents Producers Association (OSPA) are today looked after by four working groups: Advocacy, Communications, Product Stewardship and Air Quality.
