Solvents Industry Association’s 50th Anniversary and Annual General Meeting & Conference
The Solvents Industry Association celebrated their 50th Anniversary with their Annual General Meeting and Conference, which took place on 13th September.
Featuring high-quality industry guest speakers from Ricardo, The Royal Society of Chemistry, BASF, NewNormal Consulting, Suttons Tankers and Cefic, more than 100 delegates from 38 companies were present.
Keynote speaker was Marco Mensink, Director General of Cefic, who gave an insight into what the Chemical Industry in Europe might look like and the major challenges faced as we strive to meet net-zero targets and tighter regulation.
The event offered an opportunity to reunite with former Chairs and dignitaries from the Association’s history and it was a hugely successful event.
SIA Chief Executive Andrew Norman said, ‘The 50th Anniversary Conference was the largest that we have ever staged, but the success of the event would not have been possible without the fantastic support of our Members, who continue to make our Association so special’.
