CHESAR Beta Testing – Supporting the future of Chemical Safety Assessment

In the endeavour of ECHA to release a new CHESAR Platform, it is foreseen that the CHESAR tool will become obsolete, thus causing concern for the chemical industry to adapt to this change. ESIG participated to a 2-days workshop on the CHESAR Platform end of September 2025. An analysis of ESIG exposure experts concluded that CHESAR Platform is not fit for purpose yet and its release should be postponed as long as the Platform is not functional. Exposure scientists, members of ESIG are meeting frequently to define and implement the advocacy strategy to improve the CHESAR Platform. This includes for example to liaise closely with horizontal groups of Cefic. No date estimate of the CHESAR Platform release has been announced by ECHA yet.
