Solvents Industry Association Launches New Webinars<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"\"The Solvents Industry Association, which this year celebrates it\u2019s 50th<\/sup> Anniversary, has recently launched a series of free<\/strong> \u2018Lunch & Learn\u2019 webinars<\/strong>, covering a range of solvents-related topics.<\/p>\n

With \u2018An Introduction to Product Stewardship\u2019<\/strong> and \u2018Your Decarbonisation Journey and the Role of Scope 3 Emissions\u2019<\/strong> covered in April and May of this year, the latest session took place on June 13th<\/sup>, entitled, \u2018Flammable Liquids and the Fundamentals of Static Electricity\u2019<\/strong>. The 1-hour event takes place over the lunch period. To register for future events, look out for new dates in our latest news<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SIA Chief Executive, Andrew Norman said, \u2018We launched these new sessions to reach a wider audience with our Health & Safety expertise to help to prevent incidents and to discuss some of the important challenges facing our industry.<\/p>\n

The sessions so far have proved to be very popular, with further subjects, such as hose safety, to be covered later in the year\u2019.<\/p>\n

SIA at CHEMUK Expo 2023<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"\"The UK staged their largest chemical-related event on 10-11th<\/sup> May \u2013 CHEMUK Expo took place at Birmingham\u2019s National Exhibition Centre and saw more than 5,500 delegates attend the show over the 2 days.<\/p>\n

In addition to their exhibition stand, the SIA hosted a panel session entitled, \u2018Solvents, Sustainability & Net Zero\u2019<\/strong> featuring sustainability discussions from SIA Members Tradebe and TotalEnergies.<\/p>\n

Andrew Norman said, \u2018Our exhibition stand was incredibly busy over the 2 days and there was a great deal of interest in the speakers from the SIA Panel Session. The event was a great success and proved that the industry has an exciting future through the innovations in new and diverse technologies currently being implemented in the sector\u2019.<\/p>\n
