GUIDANCE ON INTERPRETATION OF SOLVENTS EMISSIONS DIRECTIVE

Since October 2007 existing installations need to comply with the Solvents Emissions Directive (SED), due to limit solvent emissions in a number of industrial sectors.

In order to support solvent users in complying with the directive, the European solvent industry and more than 30 downstream users' associations have developed a Guidance Document on the interpretation of the directive.

DVD on Solvents

Supporting the sustainable and responsible use of solvents through dialogue, information-sharing and solutions that address health, safety and environmental issues is a key task for ESIG.
In order to further strengthen the safe handling of solvents ESIG - together with the SIA (Solvents Industry Association) -  now has produced a DVD, which illustrates all the fields where solvents are used requiring a special and careful manipulation.
