Hydrocarbon Solvents REACH Consortium

Since 1 June 2007, the REACH Regulation requires all manufacturers in Europe and importers to register detailed technical dossiers on each chemical substance.

The consortium was formed in June 2008 by the Hydrocarbon Solvents Producers Association (HSPA), a sector group of CEFIC (European Council of the Chemical Industry). The objective of the consortium is to undertake the collective activities related to the registration of Hydrocarbon Solvents under REACH, including sharing of relevant research information.

Structure

The consortium structure includes a Steering Committee, a Technical Committee and the consortium secretariat. In this consortium, 12 companies combine their efforts to prepare consistent registration dossiers for almost 80 substances in 9 categories before 1 December 2010.

Join the Consortium

All interested parties – other EU manufacturers, non-EU manufacturers, importers, downstream users or other data holders – are invited to join the consortium and play an active role in its REACH works. For more details please contact info (at) reachcentrum.eu.
